Key Dates for Tax Season
eFiling 2007 Federal Income Taxes

January 8, 2008
The IRS begins accepting eFile tax returns for 2007.

January 31, 2008
W-2, 1098, and 1099 forms arrive. Employers must send these out by January 31.

April 15, 2008
Your tax return is due, unless you file for an extension until October 15, 2008.
If you are required to file a state tax return, it is probably due -- but check with your state to be certain.
