2007 Deduction deadline. This is the last date to make payments and charitable donations that can be deducted from your 2007 return.

W-2, 1098 and 1099 forms are received. Issuers are required to mail these by January 31, 2008
Tax information must be sent to others. If you are required to issue either Form W-2 or Form 1099 to anyone, it must be sent out by this date. You may have to issue this form to: an employee, a household employee or an independent contractor.
All businesses - tax forms must be sent. You must give annual statements to recipients to whom you've made payments during 2007. May include the following:
Cash payments for fish (or other aquatic life) purchased from anyone engaged in the trade or business of catching fish.
Compensation for workers who are not considered employees (including fishing boat proceeds to crew members).
Dividends and other corporate distributions.
Interest.
Amounts paid in real estate transactions.
Rent.
Royalties.
Amounts paid in broker and barter exchangetransactions.
Payments to attorneys.
Payments of Indian gaming profits to tribal members.
Profit-sharing distributions.
Retirement plan distributions.
Original issue discount.
Prizes and awards.
Medical and health care payments.
Debt cancellation (treated as payment to debtor).
Cash payments over $10,000.

File new W-4 forms. If you were exempt from income tax withholding for 2007, you must file a new Form W-4 by today to continue your exemption for 2007.
March 17, 2008
Corporations. Deadline to file a 2007 income tax return and pay any tax due. (Form 1120 or 1120-A)
S corporations. Deadline to file a 2007 calendar year tax return (Form 1120S) and pay any due taxes. Each shareholder must receive a copy of Schedule K-1 (Form 1120S).
April 15, 2008
2007 Tax return due date. Your 2007 income tax return is due with taxes paid. You may you file for an extension until Oct. 15, 2008 using Form 4868.
State tax returns. This is the due date for most state taxes as well. If you are required to file state taxes, it is mostly likely due April 15. Check with your state to be sure.
Household employers. If you paid cash wages of $1,500 or more in 2007 to any household employee, you must file Schedule H (Form 1040) with your income tax return.

Tax Filing deadline for U.S. Citizens (or Resident Aliens) living and working outside the U.S .and Purto Rico. This includes military duty. You must file a 1040 and pay all taxes.
October 15, 2008
Income tax extension due date. If you filed for an extension using Form 4868, October 15 is the deadline to avoid penalties.
